David Floyd is a proven real estate professional
with 18 years of experience in the acquisition, financing and management of real estate assets. Prior to joining ARCH
REsources, Dave was the portfolio manager for Apollo Real Estate's (now AREA Property Partners) mezzanine fund ("AREFIN").
AREFIN specialized in lending on transitional property types (rehabilitations, conversions, ground-up construction).
Prior to Apollo, Dave was the Senior Vice President of New City North America which was the U.S. office of Tokyo-based New
City Corporation, one of Japan's most innovative real estate investment companies. Dave underwrote, closed, financed
and managed New City's U.S. investments. Before New City, Dave worked in Merrill Lynch's Global Principal Investment
group. GPI was one of the first groups to finance the opportunity funds' acquisitions of non-performing
loans and then pioneered distressed real estate asset investing in Japan, Korea and Hong Kong.
Dave graduated magna
cum laude from the University of Maryland, College Park with a BS in Accounting. Dave grew up in the Washington, DC
area and moved to New York City upon graduation.
